Debenture Details -

The Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club was established in 1965 as a “not for profit” corporation. Upon acceptance as a member of the Club, each applicant must purchase a $150.00 non-transferable debenture which provides the applicant with a voting right in the affairs of the Club at each Annual General Meeting or any Special Meeting of the Membership. As a debenture holder each member may run for the Board of Directors or sit on a Club committee. At such time in the future when the applicant wishes to no longer be a member, the debenture is surrendered back to the Club for its face value.

Application for Membership -

Those wishing to have their name considered for acceptance for membership may take advantage of one of three options upon completion of the Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club Membership Application Form :

Option #1 : Immediate Acceptance -

Based on availability and approval by the Membership Committee and the Board, an applicant may be immediately accepted upon payment of annual active membership dues and commitment to the payment of then current initiation, debenture purchase and applicable tax over a 1,2,3,4, or 5 year payment plan.

Option # 2 : Introductory Program -

Based on availability and approval by the Membership Committee and the Board, an applicant may enjoy the same privileges as an active member of the Club upon payment of annual active membership dues and a $1,000 non-refundable initiation deposit. The applicant`s name is then added to the Depository List. As of October 1st, the applicant must either :

a) decide to officially join the Golf Club and have the $1,000 deposit applied to their first years Initiation payment of the chosen 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 year plan,

b) decide to remain on the Depository List under the terms and conditions as outlined in Option #3. ( This decision will represent the first deferral.)

c) decide to decline the opportunity to join the Club and forfeit the $1,000 non-refundable deposit.

Option # 3 : Add Name to the Depository List -

a) The applicant will provide the Club with a $1,000 non-refundable deposit. Their name is then added to the bottom of the Depository List.

b) The initiation amount to be paid by the applicant is determined at the time of acceptance once the name of the applicant reaches the top of the Depository List.

c) At the time of acceptance for “Active” status, should the applicant wish to defer from joining, their application will be moved to the bottom of the list and the applicant will be subject to the initiation rate at the time their name is once again reviewed by the Membership Committee. The $1,000 deposit will then be applied to the new initiation rate. An applicant may defer a maximum of two times only. Upon review by the Membership Committee on the third occasion, the applicant must either agree to join the Club or resign from the Depository List subject to the loss of their deposit. Please note that the Depository List position is not assignable.

Upon acceptance, the $1,000 deposit will be applied against the 1st year Debenture and Initiation payment of the desired 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 year payment plan option.

All dues include practice facility privileges.
Membership Dues are established by the Board of Directors on an annual basis each October.
Existing members not committing by January 18, 2008 are subject to a 15% rate increase in Dues.
